NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 15, 2018) – Foundry Commercial, the multi-city commercial real estate firm with offices across the Southeast and Texas, announces today the addition of Melissa Alexander to the position of Vice President of Brokerage Services in the firm’s Nashville office. This appointment closely follows the recent announcement that Foundry Commercial has acquired the leasing and brokerage business of OakPoint Real Estate’s Nashville office.
Prior to joining Foundry Commercial, Alexander worked for the Cushman & Wakefield affiliate in Memphis for just under 12 years, where she was the only female Principal and only female broker at the firm. She was recently named one of the Top 100 Commercial Real Estate Professionals on Twitter by Duke Long. A native Nashvillian, Alexander returns home bringing extensive multi-market industrial tenant representation experience, having completed transactions for clients across the United States and globally. She will work closely with Foundry industrial broker Benton Ozburn, whose family owned Ozburn-Hessey Logistics. Together, the team will represent users and buyers of warehouse and distribution space in addition to third-party leasing assignments.
“I am delighted to be joining Foundry Commercial, a firm that is well-respected for its solid group of commercial real estate professionals and thought leaders in the industry,” said Alexander. “It is an honor to work alongside Ben Ozburn, who comes from one of the foremost names in industrial real estate. We have complimentary backgrounds in the industry and a common goal of delivering best-in-class service to our clients.”
“We are thrilled to add another very talented broker to our growing team,” stated Jason Holwerda, Nashville Market Leader for Foundry Commercial. “Melissa brings with her a significant brokerage background and relationships across the country. Locally, she will spearhead all industrial pursuits along with Ben Ozburn, and together they will provide an unparalleled level of service to Foundry’s current and future clients.”
Alexander has a bachelor’s degree from Belmont University and a master’s degree in business administration from Union University.
