CHARLOTTE, NC (December 7, 2016)- Foundry Commercial is proud to announce its involvement with the successful global headquarters relocation of JELD-WEN, one of the largest manufacturers of building products, including windows, interior and exterior doors, to Ayrsley in Southwest Charlotte.
JELD-WEN has signed a long-term lease for One Silver Crescent,a soon-to-be-constructed 120,000 square-foot build-to-suit building overlooking the I-485 beltway which will contain a dynamic showroom and conferencing facility, and will occupy the entire building with more than 400 employees. Brian Brtalik represented JELD-WEN in the transaction.
Following the relocation, Foundry Commercial will perform ongoing project management services for JELD-WEN at One Silver Crescent.
According to a recent interview with Brtalik in the Charlotte Business Journal, the build-to-suit trend that JELD-WEN is a part of includes a larger cycle in the region that started several years ago: “We’re seeing more and more companies who are looking for higher density counts in their space — not because they’re trying to ‘jam more people in;’ that’s just the perception. It’s a functional set of questions, “How are we working? Do we want to collaborate more? Do we want to sit in proximity, see each other, talk to each other?”
Located near the newly constructed Embassy Suites in Ayrsley, the four-story One Silver Crescent building boasts state-of-the-art design, both inside and out, and broke ground in December. Anticipated delivery of the project is slated for the end of 2017.
